Why Print on Demand?

Print on Demand is the book printing technology that is going to save the publishing industry. Book publishing is a business that has been largely unchanged for more than a half-century. In the hyper competition that 21st century business presents, that just won't work. The publishing industry needs a way to have much more control over the expense involved in releasing a new book. Print on demand gives them that control.

With print on demand, or POD, a book is not printed until someone actually orders a copy. What a novel idea...rather than printing up thousands of books for storage in a warehouse (all of which requires very large sums of money), publishers can not print books one at a time as orders come in!
